Hanwha Investment & Securities Completes 18 Billion Won Investment in Global Web3 Firm "Kresus"

Hanwha Investment & Securities announced on the 19th that it has completed a strategic investment of about 18 billion won in Kresus, a global Web3 (next-generation decentralized internet) specialist.

Headquartered in the United States, Kresus is a Web3 infrastructure specialist that provides seedless recovery technology, which eliminates the need for users to directly manage complex private keys, and security technology based on MPC (Multi-Party Computation).

Leveraging these technological capabilities, Kresus operates enterprise digital wallet solutions and an RWA (Real-World Asset) platform for tokenized real-world assets.

Hanwha Investment & Securities signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Kresus during Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2025 (ADFW 2025) in December 2025, and through this investment, the two companies plan to move beyond a simple equity relationship and materialize mid- to long-term technological cooperation.

In particular, Hanwha Investment & Securities plans to use Kresus's seedless wallet security technology and tokenization infrastructure to enhance its retail digital asset services and to actively develop the RWA market in connection with existing financial products.

Trevor Traina, CEO of Kresus, said, "Hanwha Investment & Securities is a highly trusted partner with a firm vision for building transparent and secure digital asset services," adding, "Based on this investment, the two companies will work closely together to create a variety of innovative use cases built on RWA."
