Hansol Papertech Carries Out Lunar New Year Community Contribution Activities

Installation of Solar-Powered Rechargeable LEDs

Hansol Papertech, a corrugated cardboard base paper manufacturing company under Hansol Group, announced on February 13 that it had carried out Lunar New Year social contribution activities for Nambu Village in Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do, near its workplace.

After conducting a preliminary on-site survey of areas with insufficient nighttime lighting, such as around streams and alleys near the plant, Hansol Papertech installed solar-powered rechargeable LEDs at a total of 11 locations to ensure pedestrian safety at night and help improve the walking environment for residents.

In addition, to mark the Lunar New Year holiday, the company held a holiday sharing event by delivering rice cake soup rice cakes and additional ingredients to 55 senior members of the Nambu Village Senior Citizens' Association.

Lee Don-eung, head of the Nambu Village Senior Citizens' Association, said, "Thanks to the installation of the lights, the streets at night have become much brighter, allowing residents to walk around with peace of mind," and added, "We are grateful for the warm-hearted support during the holiday season."

A Hansol Papertech representative said, "We carried out this activity in the hope that it would provide a small help in improving the environment for local residents," adding, "We will continue to communicate with the communities near our workplaces and steadily promote activities that can provide practical help."
