SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv Target Middle Eastern Defense Market with Strategic Technology Marketing

Targeting Core Needs Such as Defense Technology Cooperation, Local Production, MRO, and IPS
In line with Saudi Arabia's defense localization policy, SNT Group is accelerating the expansion of its business in the Middle East.
SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv, SNT Group's core defense industry affiliates, plan to expand local production, maintenance, and technology cooperation projects focused on the Middle East in response to the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI)'s ongoing policy to localize 50% of military equipment service spending.
To this end, SNT Group will utilize its overseas subsidiary "SNT GULF," established in Dammam, Saudi Arabia in 2012, as a forward base dedicated to production and maintenance in the Middle East and Africa. Its strategy is to build a technology cooperation-based business structure that goes beyond simple exports to include maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), as well as integrated product support (IPS).
As part of this strategy, SNT Dynamics and SNT Motiv will jointly participate in the international defense exhibition "World Defense Show 2026 (WDS 2026)," which will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from February 8 to 12.
SNT Dynamics will showcase a domestically produced powerpack for the K2 main battle tank, a multipurpose tactical vehicle (MPV)-mounted 120mm mortar system, and the 12.7mm K6 heavy machine gun at this exhibition.
The domestically produced powerpack for the K2 main battle tank is a core tank system that combines a domestically produced automatic transmission with an output of 1,700 horsepower and a domestically produced engine with an output of 1,500 horsepower. It is the world's first automatic transmission with a structure of six forward gears and three reverse gears. Installed on the Turkish Altay tank, it passed desert terrain endurance driving tests, thereby proving its performance, and exports of transmissions for the Altay tank are currently underway. Starting this year, deliveries will also begin for the fourth mass-production batch of K2 tanks for the Republic of Korea Armed Forces, and exports to NATO countries, including Poland, are being pursued.
The MPV-mounted 120mm mortar system is a weapon system that enhances mobility by mounting an existing mortar on a wheeled tactical vehicle, and it is designed to enable rapid deployment even in desert terrain.
SNT Motiv is exhibiting mainly small-caliber firearms, including low-risk pistols and low-risk ammunition, as well as machine guns and submachine guns. The low-risk pistol is a 9mm revolver-type firearm that can use low-risk rounds, standard rounds, and blank rounds. The independently developed low-risk ammunition uses a plastic projectile to reduce kinetic energy to about one-tenth of that of standard rounds. This equipment completed testing and inspection last year, after which a supply contract was signed with the National Police Agency, and deliveries will begin this year.
Along with these, SNT Motiv is also exhibiting the K4 40mm automatic grenade launcher for high-rate-of-fire grenades and special tools for performance maintenance, the STSM21 9mm submachine gun, the K16D 7.62mm machine gun, and the K13A1 rifle.
An SNT official said, "As military modernization programs in Middle Eastern countries move into full swing, demand for defense localization is increasing," adding, "We will target the Middle Eastern defense market with a business model that combines technology cooperation and local production, rather than stopping at product exports."
