Instead, it focuses on shifting to daily-life-centered promotion that citizens can actually experience and feel in their everyday lives.
In particular, Namwon-si plans to move away from the one-way delivery of various policies, systems, and projects currently being promoted by the city. The idea is to tell stories based on changes and experiences in citizens' daily lives, and to build a promotional platform that all citizens of Namwon can take pride in and create together.
To this end, Namwon-si will use its official YouTube channel, "Namwon-si TV," as the main platform for citizen communication and plans to expand the production of short and clear video content focused on clips of around one minute (shorts). The city will run both policy-explanation content and citizen-experience content in parallel to enhance both the effectiveness of information delivery and citizens' sense of connection.
Since last year, Namwon-si has been operating the "One Point Namwon" segment to promote immediate communication with citizens, delivering key municipal information in an easy and concise manner. Recently, the city introduced new content titled "Youth in Bloom," which highlights the lives of young people nurturing their dreams in Namwon, and it has been receiving an enthusiastic response from citizens.
In particular, the "Citizen Relay Communication Content" targeting young people living in Namwon currently involves young workers from a variety of fields, including livestock farming, restaurants, cafes, and medical centers. They will directly participate to share with citizens and tourists what makes Namwon a great place to live, based on their own experiences of living in the city.
At the same time, the city will also strengthen promotion in the area of citizens' livelihoods. For everyday-life-oriented policies such as the "2026 Namwon-si Livelihood Stabilization Support Fund," which has been implemented since February 2, information on the application period, method, and support amount will be produced and broadcast as One Point videos so that citizens do not miss out on any details. In addition, sign language videos will be produced so that all potential beneficiaries of the policies can access the information without exclusion.
An official from Namwon-si said, "Our 2026 promotional efforts are not about showy achievements, but focus on conveying changes that can be felt in citizens' daily lives," adding, "We will continue to pursue communication-based promotion that is sincere and closer to our citizens."
