The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Commissioner Lee Namil) held a consolation event called "Moduae Bohunbapsang" on February 3, together with the Busan Briquette Bank (CEO Kang Jeongchil), to share a warm meal with veterans' families in celebration of the Lunar New Year holiday.
At the event, the Busan Briquette Bank provided a special Lunar New Year meal to about 60 veterans' family members, including national merit awardees. Employees of the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office personally took part in serving food as volunteers, putting active administration into practice and adding to the spirit of sharing. In addition, they contributed to welfare support for veterans' families by delivering to the Busan Briquette Bank funds that had been raised through the voluntary participation of staff members.
This event was organized through collaboration between the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office and the Busan Briquette Bank to provide a heartfelt meal and convey warm care to veterans' families during the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office, with support from BNK Busan Bank, is running the "Moduae Bohunbapsang" program together with the Busan Briquette Bank, providing lunch every Tuesday for national merit awardees, and the Women's Association of the Busan Seo-gu Veterans' Association also participates in volunteer work every week.
Lee Namil, Commissioner of the Busan Regional Veterans Affairs Office, said, "We organized this event to convey the warmth of the Lunar New Year holiday to veterans' families who have devoted themselves to the nation," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our connections with the local community and steadily promote welfare support and sharing activities that veterans' families can truly feel."
