The Financial Supervisory Service announced on the 5th that it will operate the "FSS Investment Expedition," a financial investment experiential education program for teenagers, in cooperation with the Korea Council for Investor Education.
This program is an experiential course designed to help teenagers naturally connect the importance of asset management and sound investment habits to real life. It is structured so that they can learn through hands-on experience, including exploring investment targets, understanding the need for risk management through diversification, and recognizing the risks of investments that rely on excessive borrowing.
Last year, a total of 340 students from 13 schools nationwide participated, and this year the educational content has been diversified by adding board and card games.
Participating students will visit the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Council for Investor Education in Yeouido, where they will experience a variety of programs such as the FSS Financial Maru, financial board games, a financial investment experience center, and mock investment activities.
The program is open to groups of 20 to 30 middle and high school students, and applications can be made for preferred dates from March to December. Applications are available from the 5th to the 23rd of this month through the Ministry of Education's Career Experience Support Center "Kkumgil" and via the popup window on the Financial Supervisory Service's e-Financial Education Center website.
