This project is a joint social contribution program prepared by the Saemaeul Geumgo Junganghoe and the foundation, based on donations from the Saemaeul Geumgo Junganghoe. It is regarded as a daily-life-oriented welfare model that provides tangible support to local communities, grounded in the spirit of mutual aid.

The foundation is currently in the process of selecting beneficiary organizations and plans to deliver a total of 1,700 bags of rice to welfare facilities and institutions supporting vulnerable groups over a two-month period in March and April 2026. The rice will be sourced from local farms, with the aim of both expanding consumption in rural areas and revitalizing the local economy.

The structure goes beyond simple donations to pursue both "welfare" and "coexistence." It is significant in that it aims to build a virtuous-cycle ecosystem in which local resources are reinvested back into the community by providing stable meals to vulnerable groups and sales channels to farmers.

Kim In, Chairman of the Saemaeul Geumgo Foundation, said, "I hope a warm meal can be a comfort to neighbors in need," adding, "We will continue to expand sharing activities together with the local community."

The strength of local finance is revealed not in grand figures, but in what people can actually feel in their daily lives. The change brought about by a single bag of rice is greater than one might think. This sharing initiative is a case that demonstrates the very reason for the existence of "cooperative finance" in the most practical way.
