Accepted to the School of Dance at K-Arts and the Department of Physical Education at SNU

It was belatedly revealed that broadcaster Shin Dongyeop's daughter, Shin Jihyo, was accepted not only to the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts, but also to the Department of Physical Education at the College of Education at Seoul National University.

At the end of last year, the ballet academy that Shin attended announced through its official social media account that "our proud graduate, Shin Jihyo (3rd grade at Sunhwa Arts High School), has brought us the joyful news of her acceptance to the Department of Physical Education at the College of Education at Seoul National University." They went on to say, "We are truly proud of Jihyo, who has been achieving the goals she has dreamed of one by one," and sent her a message of support.

Previously, in September last year, it was reported that Shin had also been accepted to the School of Dance at the Korea National University of Arts. At that time, the academy congratulated her, saying she was "a proud student who has grown together with her ballet teachers from the preschool class for five-year-olds all the way to taking the college entrance exam."

The news of Shin's university acceptance was released in October last year through the YouTube channel "Jjanhan Hyung Shin Dongyeop." The video showed Shin Dongyeop nervously waiting for the announcement of his daughter's acceptance, then relaxing and smiling with relief after confirming that she had been admitted. The production staff and cast members who were present at the time also offered their congratulations.

Shin has followed what is often called the "elite course" in ballet, attending Sunhwa Arts Middle School and Sunhwa Arts High School. In a past broadcast, Shin Dongyeop mentioned, "My daughter is majoring in ballet," and added, "She started ballet as a hobby when she was little, but she liked it so much that we have kept it going."

Meanwhile, Shin Dongyeop married producer Sun Hyeyoon in May 2006, and they welcomed their daughter Shin the following year and their son Gyuwan in 2010. Producer Sun is also known to be a graduate of Seoul National University.
