Shinsegae Food is expanding sales of its Dubai-style dessert "Duchoc" (Dubai-style chocolate croissant), which has gained popularity at Emart and Traders bakery sections.
Shinsegae Food announced on the 4th that it will increase the supply of "Duchoc" and, starting from the 5th, will sell a total of 300 sets per day at one Emart store and two Traders stores, with 100 sets per store per day (limited to one set per person). Daily sales information can be checked through Emart's official social media channels.
Since January 30, Shinsegae Food has been selling a total of 200 sets of "Duchoc" per day, with 100 sets each at one Emart store and one Traders store. On the first day of launch, all prepared quantities sold out at Emart Yongsan and Traders Guwol, and especially at Traders, customers have been lining up at the 10 a.m. opening time every day to buy "Duchoc."
The strong sales performance is attributed to its reasonable price, generous portion size, and mild sweetness. "Duchoc" is priced at 8,980 won for a set of two at Emart and 12,980 won for a set of three at Traders, which comes to about 4,300 to 4,500 won per piece. In addition, the soft flavor of the butter croissant, the pistachio paste, and the crispy texture of the crunchy kadaif create a harmonious combination that can be enjoyed repeatedly without feeling heavy. This has spread through social media, leading to continued customer requests for expanded sales.
In addition, Shinsegae Food will launch another Dubai-style dessert, "Duchonku" (Dubai chewy cookie), at No Brand Burger starting on the 9th. As the first burger franchise to introduce this item at all stores nationwide, No Brand Burger will sell "Duchonku" for 5,900 won, and the "Duchonku Amazing Pack," which consists of a single "NBB Amazing Double" burger and "Duchonku," will be offered at 9,900 won.
