Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province is establishing a robust industry-academia-government cooperation system with universities and companies to transform itself into the center of the advanced bioindustry in northern Gyeonggi.

원본보기 아이콘On January 30, Uijeongbu City signed a "Business Agreement for Industry-Academia-Government Cooperation and Advanced Bioindustry Promotion" with the Eulji University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Director Kim Insik) and BioGansolution Co., Ltd. (CEO Song Myungseok) at the Hoeryong Hall in Uijeongbu City Hall.
This agreement was established to support BioGansolution Co., Ltd., a company attracted to the city, in securing stable research space and settling in, as well as to combine the university's research infrastructure with the company's gene-based core technology, with the goal of developing Uijeongbu City into a global bioindustry hub.
Under the agreement, the three parties will jointly pursue: ▲ discovering and carrying out joint research projects based on industry-academia cooperation; ▲ strengthening the competitiveness of the bioindustry through research and technology exchanges; ▲ providing administrative support to expand corporate investment and business operations; and ▲ other cooperative efforts for mutual development.
In addition, ▲ the city will be responsible for infrastructure development and administrative support; ▲ the Eulji University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation will provide shared use of laboratory space and research equipment, and conduct joint research based on clinical and basic medicine; and ▲ BioGansolution will contribute to the local community by discovering research projects and commercializing technologies.

Meanwhile, BioGansolution Co., Ltd. is a venture company established in 2019, possessing unique technological capabilities in advanced biofields such as the production of human cells and organs using immunodeficient pigs. The Eulji University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation is leading regionally innovative research focused on technology commercialization and professional workforce development, based on the university's excellent clinical and basic medical infrastructure as a health and medical specialized institution.
