Yeongju City will begin accepting applications for the "Leisure Activity Expense Support Program for Young Workers" starting February 2, with the aim of supporting local young workers’ leisure activities and promoting stability in their daily lives.
This program is designed to help young workers enjoy cultural and sports activities without financial burden. It provides support for leisure activity expenses such as movie, theater, performance, and exhibition admissions, as well as the use of sports facilities. Each eligible individual can receive up to 200,000 won once a year.
Eligible applicants are young workers aged between 19 and 39 (born between January 1, 1986 and December 31, 2006) who have their registered address in Yeongju City as of December 31, 2025. They must be employed for at least six months at a business with fewer than 10 employees and have a household income at or below 150% of the median income standard.
The application period runs from February 2 to December 18. Support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis within the available budget, and the program may close early if funds are exhausted.
Young workers wishing to apply must prepare relevant documents, including receipts verifying leisure activity expenses incurred between January 1 and December 15, 2026, as well as a health insurance premium payment certificate, employment contract, and certificate of employment. Applications can be submitted in person at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers or at the Local Era Policy Office at Yeongju City Hall.
The application form and detailed information can be found in the announcement section of the Yeongju City website. For additional inquiries, please contact the Local Era Policy Office at Yeongju City Hall.
Hong Seongho, Director of the Local Era Policy Office at Yeongju City Hall, stated, "We hope that this leisure activity expense support program will provide substantial help in enhancing the cultural lives and quality of life for young workers. We will continue to expand customized policies to make Yeongju a better place for young people to live."
