To mark the first anniversary of the Cheongju-Nagoya route, Aero K Airlines announced on January 30 that Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya has been operating a Nagoya Promotion Center inside the Cheongju International Airport passenger terminal from January 27 to February 2, conducting on-site marketing activities targeting airport users.

At the promotion center, tourism content and travel information for Nagoya and the central region of Japan are introduced, and a variety of interactive events are being held.

Since its inaugural flight in January last year, the Cheongju-Nagoya route has maintained stable operations over the past year. Demand has grown during the cherry blossom season, summer vacation, and autumn foliage season, and the route has shown a steady flow of passengers despite seasonal fluctuations. Aero K Airlines plans to continue operating this route in the upcoming summer season following its winter schedule, and is expected to contribute to revitalizing tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the Chungcheong region and central Japan.

Nagoya is a major transportation hub located in the center of Japan, offering excellent access not only to Tokyo and Osaka but also to neighboring areas such as Gifu and Mie prefectures via Chubu Centrair International Airport. The city is popular for its historical and cultural attractions such as Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine, as well as its distinctive local cuisine like miso katsu and hitsumabushi. Recently, experience-based attractions such as Ghibli Park and Legoland Japan have made Nagoya an appealing destination for both young travelers and families.

Chubu Centrair International Airport is using the operation of this promotion center as an opportunity to strengthen on-site marketing strategies targeting Cheongju Airport users, and, through collaboration with Aero K Airlines, is focusing on raising awareness of the Chubu Centrair route and generating new demand.

This event has been smoothly carried out with the active support and close cooperation of Korea Airports Corporation Cheongju Airport, and is being recognized as a model case for the activation of international routes based on cooperation between the two airports. Chubu Centrair International Airport and Aero K Airlines plan to continue their joint marketing and route revitalization efforts in partnership with Cheongju Airport in the future.

Meanwhile, Aero K Airlines is expanding its network of routes to major Japanese cities based at Cheongju International Airport, and is strengthening its route competitiveness by reinforcing its region-based international network.
