U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that he will revoke all certifications for aircraft manufactured in Canada and impose a 50% tariff.

On January 29 (local time), President Trump stated on the social media platform Truth Social that Canada had "unjustly and illegally denied certification" for Gulfstream 500, 600, 700, and 800 jets. He declared, "In response, I will revoke certification for all aircraft manufactured in Canada."


He further warned, "If this situation is not immediately rectified, a 50% tariff will be imposed on all Canadian aircraft sold to the United States."
