Rookie Groups Expected to Show Strong Growth

On January 26, Hana Securities raised its target price for HYBE by 10% to 440,000 won. The company also maintained its "Buy" investment rating and continued to list HYBE as its top pick in the sector.

Lee Kihun, a researcher at Hana Securities, stated, "BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) has announced a historic world tour that has exceeded even the highest expectations, and as the tour continues through the second quarter of next year, the stock price is rising rather than experiencing a 'sell-on-news' phenomenon." He added, "Taking into account BTS's album, digital music, merchandise, and secondary rights, we are revising our revenue forecast for BTS upward from the previous range of 1.2 trillion to 1.4 trillion won to over 1.6 trillion won."

Lee further explained, "BTS will release an album on March 20 and begin their world tour in Korea on April 9, with 79 shows scheduled through the first quarter of next year, and additional dates in Japan and the Middle East in 2027. We expect the total number of shows could increase to between 85 and 95." He continued, "Estimated ticket revenue alone is about 900 billion won this year and about 400 billion won next year."

He also highlighted the growth of HYBE's rookie groups. The recently debuted girl group Cat's Eye and boy group Cortis are growing at the fastest pace in the past decade. Lee noted, "The American girl group Cat's Eye recently placed two songs in the top 20 of the Billboard HOT100, reaching Blackpink's highest ranking in just a year and a half. If they settle within the top 50 of the Billboard HOT100, a tour attracting around 2 million fans is possible, so similar growth is expected for Cat's Eye."

Regarding Cortis, he said, "Since their debut last year, they have sold about 1.6 million albums cumulatively, surpassing the previous record held by RIIZE over the past decade. A successful debut typically means album sales per release double after two years, and currently, only BTS and Stray Kids have reached 3 million albums per release. This is an unprecedented pace of growth," he analyzed.
