The county is pursuing a medium- to long-term plan to build smart farm facilities on 20 hectares and distribution facilities on 5 hectares, within a complex totaling 25 hectares. The project budget is 21.4 billion won, including national, provincial, and county funds. In addition, the county plans to attract 80 billion won in private investment to establish an advanced agricultural complex that integrates production, distribution, and energy functions.

In particular, the county will link the project with the "Salt Damage Reclaimed Land Renewable Energy Integration Complex," which is being promoted mainly in Daedeok-eup and Hoejin-myeon, to create an energy self-sufficient smart farm. It will also establish a practical support system by expanding the base for strategic crops and providing rental greenhouses for young farmers.

Jangheung County will proceed with follow-up coordination procedures after the competition and prepare for the on-site evaluation scheduled for early 2026, as well as securing national funding.

A county official stated, "Being selected for this competition is a turning point that can fundamentally change the future of young farmers in Jangheung. The most significant aspect is that they can start farming in advanced facilities without the burden of initial investment." The official added, "We will build a smart agriculture system that connects production, distribution, and energy, and create a rural area where young people return and choose to stay."
