HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect ETF Surpasses 500 Billion Won in Net Assets

NH-Amundi Asset Management announced on December 9 that the net asset value (NAV) of the HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect ETF surpassed 500 billion won for the first time since its listing.


According to KOSCOM ETF CHECK, as of December 8, the NAV of the ETF stood at 537.9 billion won. Thanks to its strong performance, the NAV has increased by approximately 497.4 billion won this year alone, about 13.3 times higher than the 40.5 billion won at the beginning of the year.


As of December 8, the HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect ETF recorded a return of 40.66% over the past three months and 200.42% over the past year. Among the ten nuclear power-themed ETFs tracked by KOSCOM ETF CHECK, it achieved the highest return.


The HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect ETF, launched on June 28, 2022, is the first nuclear power-themed ETF in Korea. It invests in 20 leading domestic companies related to nuclear power, including Doosan Enerbility, Korea Electric Power Corporation, HD Hyundai Electric, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, and Hyosung Heavy Industries.


One of its key features is balanced investment in nuclear power-related stocks, such as Doosan Enerbility and Hyundai Engineering & Construction, which are part of "Team Korea" led by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, a subsidiary of Korea Electric Power Corporation.


Kim Seungcheol, Head of ETF Investments at NH-Amundi Asset Management, stated, "The United States' nuclear power resurgence project cannot proceed without support from Korea's nuclear power ecosystem. Domestic nuclear power companies are recognized as key players in the global nuclear power supply chain, and we expect their growth to continue for several years."
