Currently enrolled in the master's program at the Graduate School of Future Strategy at KAIST, she was recognized for her outstanding performance in the Creative Talent category, which is part of the campus innovation value system encompassing creative talent, research, internationalization, technological value creation, and trust and communication.
Last month, Goo Hye-sun launched the hair roller "Kurol." The "Kurol" she introduced is a product designed with a flat structure to address the bulkiness and portability limitations of conventional hair rollers. It can be folded flat for carrying and storage, and then bent into a circular shape for use, greatly enhancing its practicality. In particular, by boldly eliminating the plastic frame that accounted for most of the bulk in existing products, she reduced plastic usage by 80 percent, incorporating eco-friendly elements that drew significant attention.

This small hair roller encapsulates a uniquely Korean scene: the narrative of people stepping outside with hair rollers, something only seen in Korean society."
With the consecutive achievements of launching the Kurol brand and receiving the special award from KAIST, Goo Hye-sun has firmly established her presence as a creative talent by combining her artistic sensibility with practical technology. There is growing interest in what new vision she will present as she continues to embrace both eco-friendly and cultural values in her endeavors.
