The site for development is the section where the campus and the surrounding apartment complexes meet. Through this project, the city removed the fence that had separated the two areas and reorganized the space into an open structure that allows for natural interaction between citizens and the campus.
Various trees, including Yoshino cherry trees, were planted along the walking trails, and benches and resting areas were installed throughout to ensure that citizens can comfortably spend time there. In the sections adjacent to roads, buffer plantings were added to enhance pedestrian safety and the overall landscape by harmonizing with the streetscape and surrounding environment.
A city official stated, "This new recreational space is an open green area for both citizens and the university community," adding, "It was created so that people can experience nature and take a break from their daily routines."
