This year, Seo-gu focused on promoting gender equality in caregiving and spreading a culture of local safety. The district has implemented various initiatives, including the "Dad Care Activation Program," projects to strengthen daily safety capabilities, and monitoring of women-friendly spaces.

In particular, Seo-gu has contributed to strengthening family care and women's safety capabilities, as well as spreading a culture of gender equality, through resident-led programs such as "Papa Voice" (a father-child choir where fathers take the lead in caregiving) and "Self-Defense" (practical self-defense education for women).

Additionally, the district is realizing gender-equal policies that residents can feel in their daily lives by: operating a Women-Friendly City Citizen Participation Group to identify and improve everyday inconveniences; designating and operating eight women- and family-friendly villages; and building practical safety infrastructure such as maintaining safe alleys, appointing women’s safety security officers, installing safe parcel lockers, and distributing safe home kits.

The performance sharing event was attended by over 100 people, including members of women- and family-friendly communities, the citizen participation group, and the women’s organizations council. The event featured the screening of activity videos, presentations of key cases, and commendations for outstanding activists.

Kim Ikang, Mayor of Seo-gu, stated, "Our goal is to create a women-friendly Seo-gu where residents can live with peace of mind by ensuring family happiness, women's safety, and gender equality. Moving forward, we will continue to build a 'Good Seo-gu,' a gender-equal city enjoyed by all, based on resident participation and cooperation."
