High1 Resort, operated by Kangwon Land, will begin operating its ski resort for the 2025-2026 season starting on November 28.
This is one week earlier than in previous years. This season will be run under three key themes: "High1 with excellent snow quality, enjoyable High1, and safe High1."
The High1 Ski Resort slopes span a total length of 21 kilometers and offer a variety of difficulty levels suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced skiers. On opening day, the beginner-level Athena 3-1 slope and the snow sledding area will be the first to open. The snow sledding area can be enjoyed right in front of the ski house without the need to use a gondola or lift. Subsequently, all 15 slopes and Snow World, which features various winter experience attractions, will open in sequence.
This season, Snow World has added a rafting boat that can accommodate more people, in addition to the existing rafting sled and family sled. At the nostalgic ice sledding rink, a transparent dome has been installed to create a unique space where visitors can feel as if they are inside a snow globe. An outdoor windbreak wall has also been set up in the Snow World waiting area, allowing families with young children to stay warm and safe.
In preparation for the season opening, High1 has inspected all slope sections and conducted a joint public-private life-saving drill with the Jeongseon Fire Station to ensure that guests can enjoy skiing in a safer environment.
Choi Cheolgyu, Acting CEO of Kangwon Land, stated, "High1 is fully prepared to present an early winter wonderland filled with excitement. We aim to make High1 a winter destination that visitors want to return to by offering a wide range of attractions, not only skiing but also snow sledding and Snow World, so that everyone can have fun together, even if they do not ski or snowboard." He added, "Going forward, we will continue to expand various hands-on experiences and stay-type tourism programs to establish High1 as not only Korea's leading winter tourist destination but also a global integrated resort."
