Tae Sung announced on November 21 that it has agreed to supply composite copper foil materials and conduct battery performance evaluations for overseas battery company B.
A company representative explained, "This supply deal, following our partnership with domestic company A, marks an important milestone as we make a full-fledged entry into the global battery market."
With demand for copper foil expanding across a variety of applications, including not only EV batteries but also energy storage systems (ESS), Tae Sung's advanced composite copper foil equipment and material technologies have successfully met these needs, leading to this achievement. This is seen as further proof of Tae Sung's technological competitiveness.
The continued expansion of material supplies is also expected to provide additional momentum for Tae Sung's composite copper foil equipment business. Several Chinese clients have expressed their intention to visit and resume negotiations. However, the company is strategically coordinating the timing of discussions to ensure the most favorable business conditions.
A Tae Sung representative stated, "Discussions on the detailed specifications for glass substrate equipment are in the final stages," adding, "We are preparing to begin stable mass production equipment supply for glass substrates starting in 2026, in line with our customers' mass production line schedules."
