Beverlox was first launched in 2022 under the name ‘Burning Beaver’ and is now in its fourth year. The event will be held from December 5 to 7 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, with a total of 287 teams participating. There will be 82 offline exhibitions and 205 exclusive online exhibitions.

Kim Seonghoe from the game-related YouTube channel ‘G Encyclopedia’ will host panel discussions throughout all three days of the event, introducing notable titles and discussing industry trends. Popular internet broadcaster ‘Suryunsuryun’ will play various indie games on-site and hold a fan signing event on the first day. Yoo Seunghyun, CEO of Wonder Potion and creator of the indie game ‘SANABI’, will give a lecture to university student creators on the practical challenges of game development and career building.

On Saturday, the second day, Kimong, author of the Naver Webtoon ‘Timid Tiger Coco’, and game creator ‘Jjamta Sua’ will enjoy games and interact with fans on-site. Anthony Lai, CEO of the global mobile game company TapBlaze, will deliver a lecture for creators. On the final day, voice actress Kim Yerim, who played ‘Joy’ in ‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’, and former pro gamer and game commentator Lee Hyunwoo, known as ‘Kletem’, will join fans to enjoy indie games together.

Hwang Juhun, Team Leader at Smilegate Future Lab, said, “Beverlox aims to be an ‘indie culture hub’ where indie games are at the center and creators, webtoon artists, voice actors, and fans come together in one space. We hope that the diverse programs prepared over three days will allow everyone to experience the indie ecosystem more closely and hear directly from the creators.”
