Approximately 300 participants, including local government officials, startup support organizations, university students, local residents, businesspeople, and aspiring entrepreneurs, are expected to attend the festival.
The event program includes the following: a progress report from MNU Makerspace, a regional startup support organizations’ vision declaration ceremony, an awards ceremony for each category, an exhibition of works, a flea market, and an experience zone.
This year, in particular, regional startup innovation organizations such as the Jeonnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Jeonnam Startup Technology Holdings, Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center, and Chosun University Makerspace will participate in the "Joint Vision Declaration Ceremony of Regional Startup Innovation Organizations." Through this, cooperation within the Jeonnam startup ecosystem is expected to be further strengthened, accelerating the establishment of a mutually beneficial network.
During the awards ceremony, 46 teams that have achieved outstanding results in six fields-innovative startups, prototype production, startup incubation, university student makers, innovative makers, and Maker of the Year-will be selected and presented with awards.
Yoo Youngjae, Director of the Startup Innovation Center, stated, "MNU Makerspace has established itself as the center of local manufacturing startups and as a collaborative platform," adding, "We will continue to work towards spreading maker culture and revitalizing the startup ecosystem."
The exhibition and experience events will operate from 10 a.m., with the main event kicking off with an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. All pre-registered participants will receive commemorative gifts, and registration is available via Naver Form.
