[Market Focus] NCSoft Shares Plunge Below 200,000 Won Despite "Aion 2" Launch

NCSoft experienced a sharp decline of over 13%, with its share price falling below the 200,000 won mark during intraday trading.

As of 10:19 a.m. on November 19, NCSoft was trading at 193,600 won on the Korea Exchange, down 39,000 won (13.76%) from the previous day. The stock has been on a downward trend for five consecutive trading days.

Despite the launch of its new title "Aion 2" on this day, the company failed to prevent a further drop in its share price. At midnight, NCSoft officially released its new massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Aion 2, in South Korea and Taiwan. Aion 2 is a new MMORPG developed by NCSoft as a complete edition of the original Aion. The game inherits the original's iconic identity of "eternal conflict between Elyos and Asmodians" and "eight unique classes."
