With this achievement, The Asia Business Daily Education Center has earned the honor of announcing its fifth award in 2025 alone.
This competition was hosted by the Seoul AI Foundation and jointly organized by the Seoul AI Foundation and Amazon Web Services. It was established to discover innovative ideas that create social value using artificial intelligence technology.
The team of graduates from The Asia Business Daily Education Center, consisting of Seonghyun Lee, Hyunsoo Yoon, and Eunji Lee, won the Excellence Award by presenting a 'Multimodal Digital Biomarker-Based Early Differentiation AI Solution for Parkinson's Disease.' The team implemented a multimodal AI model that combines various digital biomarkers, including voice, finger movement, and gaze data. This approach demonstrated the technical potential to detect early signs of Parkinson's disease with greater precision and accuracy than conventional diagnostic methods, earning high praise from the judges.
The solution received high marks for its practical applicability in healthcare settings and its potential for social contribution. In particular, it was noted for its accessibility, as it builds predictive models based on users' daily data, making it easy to use not only for specialized medical institutions but also for the general public.
The award-winning team stated, "Participating in the six-month training program and repeatedly learning to solve various error scenarios that may occur in real industrial settings was a great help in preparing for this competition." They added, "We believe that AI technology can bring about real change in the healthcare sector, and our efforts to design a service that is easy to use from the user's perspective contributed to this positive outcome."
The Asia Business Daily Education Center offers programs in core digital industry fields such as AI and big data, advanced convergence bio-healthcare, and robot software development. All courses are structured around practical projects, enabling trainees to acquire the real-world skills required in the industry.
In particular, by providing opportunities to participate in collaborative projects with the medical industry, healthcare institutions, and tech companies from the training stage, the center helps trainees develop both on-site problem-solving abilities and practical development skills.
A representative from the Education Center said, "The continuous success in external competitions demonstrates that the hands-on project experience gained through our programs is objectively recognized outside the center. We will continue to strengthen practical, industry-linked project-based education to nurture talent equipped with both technological proficiency and service planning capabilities."
