[Today's New Product] "Gangwon Potatoes with Corn Seasoning"... Lotte Mart's Mutual Growth Chips

Lotte Mart and Lotte Super announced on the 16th that they will exclusively launch 'Haitai Saengsaeng Potato Chips Gangwon Corn Flavor,' a collaborative product developed in partnership with Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. This limited-edition snack was planned to celebrate the second anniversary of the establishment of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province and aims to promote Gangwon Province and revitalize the local economy.

This product was created using agricultural products from Gangwon Province, fulfilling the intention of mutual growth. Lotte purchased 75 tons of freshly harvested potatoes grown by local farms in Gangwon Province to make the potato chips, and added Gangwon glutinous corn seasoning for a sweet and savory flavor. The package features the official characters of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, 'Gangwoni' and 'Teukbyeoli,' emphasizing the regional symbolism throughout the product.

To maximize regional promotion, Lotte is actively utilizing its distribution network. Starting on the 16th, the product will be available at all Lotte Mart and Lotte Super locations, and availability will gradually expand to Seven Eleven convenience stores nationwide. Lotte Mart and Lotte Super plan to leverage synergy within the group to broaden consumer touchpoints and strengthen the impact of regional mutual growth products.

Since the second half of this year, Lotte Mart and Lotte Super have been running regional mutual growth projects, introducing collaborative snacks that reflect local identities. In July, the 'Nongshim Jagalchi x Boogi' snack, created in partnership with Busan Metropolitan City, received a great response, achieving over four times the sales of regular Jagalchi snacks during the event period compared to the same period last year. The Saengsaeng Potato Chips Gangwon Corn Flavor, developed in collaboration with Gangwon Province, is the second project of its kind.

To celebrate the product launch, Lotte Mart and Lotte Super will hold a two-week discount event until Wednesday, the 29th. Four products-Saengsaeng Potato Chips Gangwon Corn Flavor (80g), Roasted Onion (110g), Osatsu (100g), and Country Corn (150g)-will be sold at a uniform price of 2,380 won each. Customers who purchase two or more items during the event period will receive an additional 10% discount.

There will also be a variety of prize events featuring the regional character of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province. Customers who purchase at least 5,000 won worth of the four promotional products by the 29th will receive an entry ticket for a prize draw. Prizes include: ▲ First prize, Lotte Resort Sokcho Deluxe Double Room voucher (3 winners); ▲ Second prize, High1 Resort accommodation voucher (15 winners); ▲ Third prize, a random Gangwoni or Teukbyeoli merchandise item (one of plush toy or pen, 80 winners). During the same period, major stores in each region, such as Gangbyeon, Chuncheon, and Wonju branches, will set up special displays with the concept of 'Gangwoni's Vegetable Shop,' highlighting the unique characteristics and local atmosphere of Gangwon Province.
