Kiwoom Securities is planning a major transformation of its flagship mobile trading system (MTS), HeroMTS S#.
On October 1, Kiwoom Securities announced that it will newly introduce a "Simple Mode" to HeroMTS S#. Without the need to install a separate app, users can easily switch between the existing mode and the new mode with a single tap within HeroMTS S#. This is expected to greatly enhance user convenience.
The Simple Mode lowers the barriers to entry for investing by offering an easy and intuitive UI and UX (user interface and experience). It incorporates Kiwoom Securities' professional features and content. The mode provides a simple and enjoyable experience for beginner investors, while offering an efficient and professional environment for experienced investors.
The usage method is also intuitive. Upon accessing HeroMTS S#, users can immediately choose between Simple Mode and Standard Mode. If additional features are needed, users can switch to Standard Mode with a single tap and use the existing environment as is.
This "One App Two Mode" strategy, which allows users to select between two modes within a single app, eliminates the hassle of installing additional applications. Investors can freely switch between the two modes in one app according to their investment experience and proficiency, enabling more efficient investment activities.
The most distinctive feature is the concise and intuitive UX. Simple Mode consolidates the most frequently used functions by investors, achieving both simplicity and professionalism.
Not only can users place buy and sell orders, but they can also top up their available funds, exchange currencies, use points, and conduct fractional trading-all from a single screen. The entire investment process can be completed on one screen without going through multiple steps.
The increasingly popular "Stock Accumulation" feature has also been streamlined so that it can be executed with just a few taps. The improved Stock Accumulation function is now even easier to use. The condition search function has also been restructured into a "slim" version, allowing for intuitive use without complicated settings.
Users can also easily access differentiated professional content such as real-time rankings and Kiwoom’s top stocks. The home screen editing function has been enhanced, enabling users to freely customize and arrange the functions they want, providing a personalized investment experience.
Additionally, new features have been added to make investment information more accessible. "Reportoon," which delivers reports in webtoon format, and "Investment Shorts," which provides quick updates on the latest trends and issues, have been introduced. This allows users to access investment information in a more professional yet approachable way. Furthermore, app-tech elements such as point accumulation and various reward-linked features have been significantly strengthened, evolving the platform beyond a simple trading app into a financial platform where users can enjoy both investment and benefits simultaneously.
Finally, a stylish design reflecting the tastes of Millennials & Gen Z has been applied. Instead of the stiff and serious atmosphere typical of financial apps, youthful and distinctive images and animations have been used to reduce the psychological burden associated with finance. This encourages users to perceive investing as a more approachable and enjoyable activity. Such design changes are expected to attract new customers and enhance the satisfaction and loyalty of existing users.
A representative from Kiwoom Securities stated, "Simple Mode is not merely a stripped-down version of our service, but a service designed to lower the barriers to entry for investors so that anyone can easily begin their investment journey," adding, "We will continue to closely analyze customer feedback, consistently improve service quality, and do our utmost to deliver the best possible investment experience."
