During the meeting, residents presented requests and suggestions directly related to their daily lives, including: the opening and installation of public convenience facilities within the Janghang Public Housing District; expansion of the operating area for the demand-responsive 'Ttok Bus'; installation of road mirrors at alley intersections within the Janghang Printing Culture Complex; installation of in-ground pedestrian signals near Janghang Elementary School; and dredging and maintenance of agricultural and drainage canals within the Janghang Printing Culture Complex.
Mayor Lee Donghwan and heads of relevant departments listened carefully to residents’ opinions, explained improvement plans for each sector such as transportation, environment, and safety, and worked together on-site to seek practical solutions.
In addition, during the meeting, two residents who contributed to community development and the revitalization of the local community were awarded certificates of commendation, making it a meaningful occasion to recognize and encourage their dedication and efforts.
Mayor Lee Donghwan stated, "This meeting held at the Janghang Wetland Ecology Center was an opportunity to emphasize both the importance of ecological preservation and our commitment to addressing residents’ day-to-day issues," adding, "We will continue to listen on-site and respond with tangible results in our city administration."
The city plans to visit every district by the end of the year, including this Janghang 1-dong meeting, to listen to residents’ suggestions, share updates on city affairs, and present commendations to outstanding contributors.
