The newly established temporary public parking lot will be operated until January 2027, before the groundbreaking for the Dream Tantan Eumteo, and will be available free of charge to all citizens.
This project is expected to not only alleviate the chronic parking shortage in downtown Hwangji, but also ease congestion during student drop-off and pick-up times at Hwangji Elementary School, and improve the parking space shortage for nearby residents, thereby enhancing overall living conditions.
Lee Sangho, Mayor of Taebaek, stated, "The establishment of the temporary public parking lot will help increase convenience for residents and ensure student safety," adding, "We will continue to implement policies that citizens can truly feel, reflecting their opinions in the future."
