This project is a program in which Seongnam City and Gyeonggi Province jointly provide support for up to 80% of improvement costs in five areas: infrastructure, labor environment, knowledge industry centers, work environment, and fire safety facilities, to help small and medium-sized enterprises focus on their business activities.

In the infrastructure sector, support is provided for road expansion and paving, water and sewage systems, small bridge maintenance, and stormwater pipe repairs in areas densely populated with small and medium-sized enterprises. In the labor environment sector, support is offered for the installation and renovation of dormitories, break rooms, cafeterias, and restrooms for small manufacturing companies with an average annual sales of 20 billion won or less over the past three years.

For the knowledge industry center sector, support is provided for the renovation of public facilities such as parking lots and restrooms in centers that have been in operation for more than seven years since completion. In the work environment sector, support is offered for the renovation of workspaces and the installation of storage racks and LED lighting for small manufacturing companies with an average annual sales of 10 billion won or less over the past three years.

In the fire safety facilities sector, support is provided for the installation and renovation of fire safety equipment such as alarm systems, firewalls, sprinklers, and evacuation facilities for small and medium-sized manufacturing companies with annual sales of 20 billion won or less, or knowledge industry centers that have been in operation for more than seven years since completion.

The city will finalize the list of recipients after a document review, on-site inspection, and a first-round evaluation, followed by a review by the Gyeonggi Province Business Development and Support Measures Council. Selected companies will begin implementing their projects starting in January next year.

In particular, for 2026, the city plans to lower the sales criteria to focus support on companies with limited capacity for on-site improvements and to increase the proportion of support for fire safety, thereby strengthening the industrial accident prevention network.

Companies wishing to participate can download the application form from the Seongnam City website and submit the completed form in person to the Corporate Innovation Division on the 8th floor of the West Building of Seongnam City Hall or by mail by September 26.

Meanwhile, Seongnam City is currently supporting about 190 million won for nine companies this year as part of the ongoing project.
