BNK Busan Bank Signs Main Banking Agreement with Labor Unions of Three Shipping Companies

BNK Busan Bank (President: Bang Seongbin) has been selected as the main bank for the labor unions of three shipping companies.

On the morning of August 21, Busan Bank announced that it had signed an 'Employee Main Banking Business Agreement (MOU)' with the labor unions of HMM Co., Ltd., H-Line Shipping Co., Ltd., and SM Group Korea Line Corporation in the main conference room on the 18th floor of its headquarters.

Attendees at the signing ceremony included Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank; Kim Daeseong, Chairman of the Busan Bank Labor Union; Jeon Jeonggeun, Chairman of the HMM Seafarers' Union; Kwon Gihyeong, Chairman of the H-Line Shipping Seafarers' Union; and Kim Suheon, Chairman of the SM Group Korea Line Union. They pledged mutual cooperation.

Under this agreement, Busan Bank will simplify the income verification process by applying a non-face-to-face income recognition method tailored to the employment characteristics of the three participating shipping companies. The bank will also offer preferential interest rates on loan and savings products.

Additionally, for customers who sign up for loan or savings products, preferential exchange rates will be provided for major currencies such as the US dollar (USD) and Japanese yen (JPY) when exchanging currencies non-face-to-face. Various fee exemptions will also be offered, as well as annual fee cashback and six-month interest-free installment benefits for new credit card issuances.

Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, emphasized, "As a leading regional financial institution representing Busan, the maritime capital, we will actively support the development of the shipping industry, drive mutual growth with the local community, and provide differentiated financial services to all employees."

Kim Daeseong, Chairman of the Busan Bank Labor Union, stated, "Labor and management will work together to do their utmost to expand practical financial convenience for maritime workers."
