GS25, a convenience store operated by GS Retail, announced on August 21 that its lunchbox, "The Unrivaled Return of the True Classic," which was launched on the 13th, surpassed 150,000 units sold within just one week of its release.

원본보기 아이콘"The Unrivaled Return of the True Classic" is an upgraded version of the "True Classic Chicken Lunchbox," which gained significant popularity when it was first released in 2016. It is the fourth product in the "Returning Hyeja Series." As "lunchflation" (lunch + inflation) has intensified recently, raising the burden of lunch costs, GS25 is implementing a strategy of reintroducing previously discontinued popular lunchboxes. The aim is to increase customer satisfaction with proven flavors and menus while also contributing to price stabilization by offering reasonable prices.
"The Unrivaled Return of the True Classic" features a hearty selection of main dishes centered around meats such as chicken steak, tsukune, tornado sausage, and spicy pork with gochujang. In addition, it includes a variety of side dishes like honey garlic fried chicken, mini spicy pork cutlet, stir-fried fish cake, and stir-fried kimchi, making it a plentiful full-course lunchbox with excellent value for money.
Park Jongseo, manager of the FF Team at GS Retail, stated, "Since April, GS25 has been continuously launching the Returning Hyeja Series, which combines price competitiveness and quality, to provide customers with a hearty meal despite high inflation." He added, "We will continue to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to price stabilization with Hyeja lunchboxes that offer proven flavors and great value."
