Each character symbolizes the diversity and importance of the wetland ecosystem, delivering a message of wetland conservation through a friendly and approachable image.
In particular, at the Ramsar Convention Conference of the Parties (COP15) in 2025, Goyang City produced character keyring goods to promote the Janghang Wetland, which received an enthusiastic response from participants from various countries.
Lee Sungwoo, Director of Environmental Policy, stated, "These characters, created together with citizens, are an effort to convey the biodiversity of the Janghang Wetland in a more approachable way," adding, "We plan to actively utilize these characters in various fields to widely promote the ecological value of the Janghang Wetland."
