This cleanup operation was conducted with the top priority placed on citizen safety, and aimed to restore flood damage, improve the environment, and prevent the recurrence of disasters. In particular, the city, public institutions, and private organizations established a joint response system to ensure a faster and more systematic operation.

More than 400 people participated in the cleanup, including Mayor Kim Donggeun, City Council Chair Kim Yeongyun, city council members, local autonomous organizations, and representatives of institutions belonging to the Uijeongbu City Public Institution Social Contribution Council. The National Railway Authority also participated by providing manpower and equipment.

The participants were deployed to the three streams, focusing their efforts on key areas such as removing floating debris and sediment, cleaning foreign substances from flooded sections, and trimming riverside trees. The city conducted inspections by section and thoroughly completed waste separation and disposal, putting significant effort into environmental maintenance.

In particular, throughout the restoration process, equipment and personnel from each institution were efficiently allocated, allowing the damaged areas to be cleared in a short period of time. Through systematic division of labor and prompt action, the safety of riverside walkways was secured, and improvements in water quality and the ecological environment of the streams are also expected.

Mayor Kim Donggeun stated, "This cleanup activity was not simply about environmental maintenance, but was an essential response to protect the lives and safety of our citizens," and added, "Going forward, the public and private sectors will continue to join forces to respond to natural disasters and create a safe and pleasant urban environment."
