Meet the Icheon Ceramics Festival Through Live Shopping Broadcast

Works to Be Sold via Shopping Live Broadcast on April 24 and 25

Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province will showcase a variety of works featured at the 39th Icheon Ceramics Festival, which opens on April 25, through a shopping live broadcast.


On April 21, Icheon City announced that, ahead of the festival, it will transform the Icheon Ceramics Exhibition and Sales Hall at Seolbong Park and studios within the Icheon Ceramics Art Village (Yes Park) into broadcast studios for the shopping live event. The broadcast will be hosted by popular show hosts Park Sangjin and Lee Yugyeong.

The broadcast will be held twice, on April 24 and April 25. On April 24 at 7 p.m., the broadcast will take place at the Icheon Ceramics Exhibition and Sales Hall in Seolbong Park. The program will introduce the sales hall, feature on-site special price events, and share behind-the-scenes stories about ceramic production. On this day, participants selected through a preliminary contest?Gosanyo, Ceratech, and Dodamyo?will take part.


On the opening day of the festival, April 25 at 7 p.m., the broadcast will be held at the 'Gallery Mieum' studio in Yes Park, where the festival takes place. Participants selected through an open call?Gyudam, Gallery Mieum, and Plate?will join to sell a variety of ceramic products.


Kim Kyunghee, Mayor of Icheon, said, "Through the shopping live broadcast, we hope to promote the excellence of Icheon ceramics and make Icheon ceramics beloved by all generations."


The Icheon Ceramics Festival, under the theme "Colors of Ceramics, Lights of Icheon," will be held for 12 days from April 25 to May 6 at Yes Park and the Sagimakgol Ceramics Village. During the festival, a variety of exhibitions, sales events, hands-on experiences, and performances will take place, including the Ceramic Zoo (exhibition), discounted ceramics sales, ceramic play yard, Classic Park Concert, and busking performances.
