Oh Hu-seok, Deputy Governor for Administration of Gyeonggi Province, concluded over 30 years of public service, and a honorary retirement ceremony was held on the 17th.

원본보기 아이콘At the retirement ceremony held after attending the open provincial government meeting in the situation room of the Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Government Office that afternoon, Deputy Governor Oh said, “If public officials in Gyeonggi Province love the work they do and create change within it, the residents of Gyeonggi Province, and furthermore the people of the Republic of Korea, will be happy.” He added, “I will forever remember the moments of shared hardship and joy, and sincerely thank everyone who has supported me.”
Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, congratulated the retirement, saying, “Deputy Governor Oh Hu-seok is a ‘field-oriented deputy governor’ who personally worked hard for the development of the northern region and the safety of residents.” He continued, “I once again thank him for his dedication and efforts over the past 30 years for the development of Gyeonggi Province, and sincerely support his future path.”
Deputy Governor Oh Hu-seok passed the 38th Administrative Examination in 1994 and entered public service in 1995. Since then, he has held key positions in central government ministries and Gyeonggi Province, including the Prime Minister’s Office, Gyeonggi Provincial Policy Planning Officer, Director of the Economic Office, and Director of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s Life Safety Policy Bureau.
He was appointed Deputy Governor for Administration of Gyeonggi Province on December 20, 2022, and made various efforts to promote the development of northern Gyeonggi and improve residents’ quality of life, including laying the foundation for establishing the Northern Gyeonggi Special Autonomous Province through the Northern Gyeonggi Grand Reform Project and regional balanced development, launching ‘the Gyeonggi Pass’ to expand transportation welfare, and the opening of GTX and Byeollae Line.
