원본보기 아이콘Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 28th that the railway souvenir specialty store 'Train Mates' will open at Seoul Station on the 7th of next month and at Busan Station on the 14th.
Train Mates is a name created in English to emphasize the friendly image of railways and to help foreigners understand. Here, visitors can find over 230 types of railway souvenirs, including keychains, stickers, card wallets, eco bags, and train assembly blocks developed by five railway organizations: KORAIL, the Korea Rail Network Authority, SR Co., Ltd., Busan Transportation Corporation, and KORAIL Distribution Co., Ltd.
Previously, each railway organization developed and launched railway goods using their respective intellectual property (IP). In particular, the goods are produced through collaboration with social enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises, adding a meaning of mutual growth.
Han Moon-hee, President of KORAIL, said, “As a representative public transportation means closely connected to the daily lives of the people, we are able to showcase content (goods) that embody the image of railways at Seoul Station and Busan Station. KORAIL will continue to strive to make railways more familiar and approachable to the public.”
