This achievement spans major IT corporations and mid-sized companies in key Japanese regions such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, with over 85% of all job placements concentrated in Tokyo alone. Additionally, 25 students (60%) secured positions in software development roles, while 17 students (40%) were hired as network infrastructure engineers.

Looking at the companies offering job placements, 9 students will join large corporations and banks such as Rakuten Mobile, JCOM, and Kyocera; 20 students will work at mid-sized companies like MIC and Statia; and 13 students will be employed at SPIC, an IT company with 433 employees.

The Computer Information Division of this college has produced a total of 623 graduates employed in Japan over the past 16 years since establishing a special class for Japanese employment, achieving an unparalleled record in nurturing IT professionals with overseas careers among domestic universities.

The 100% job placement of all 42 students this year was supported by 18 years of accumulated know-how in Japanese employment, a systematic curriculum reflecting the demands and needs of local Japanese companies, Japanese faculty members, and strong financial support from the university itself as well as the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Furthermore, mentoring from alumni who have advanced into Japan contributed to this valuable achievement.

Kim Jung-won, who was accepted by Kiraboshi Bank (Tokyo) in Japan, said about choosing a career path in Japan, “After graduating from commercial high school and working, I increasingly felt anxious about the future and wanted to learn specialized knowledge. I had always been interested in web programming and liked Japanese culture since childhood, so I decided to study again at Yeongjin College of Technology’s Computer Information Division, which is famous for Japanese employment.” He added, “I am happy to have achieved that dream.”

Student Lim Soo-min, who diligently built knowledge in network infrastructure by handling cloud computing and Linux, the department’s major subjects, for three years, was accepted by JCOM, the most preferred company among Japanese university students. He said, “Thanks to learning various technologies such as networks, AWS, and Linux and obtaining related certifications, I was able to gain the opportunity to demonstrate my abilities in Japan.”

Student Park Jung-min said about MIC, which held a company briefing session at the university, “I applied because I thought it was a company that offers opportunities for growth through a free atmosphere and diverse development experiences, and I was accepted.” He pledged, “I will thoroughly prepare for company life until joining.”

Lim Deok-sung, head of the Computer Information Division at Yeongjin College of Technology, emphasized, “Japanese IT students have strong benefits unique to Yeongjin, in addition to education programs specialized for overseas employment, to nurture professional talent.”

In fact, the Japanese IT Department offers various and powerful support programs, including major education, free Japanese language special lectures by Japanese professors, one-on-one interview consulting support, a one-month local internship program in Japan (2nd year), local interview training in Tokyo (3rd year), participation in on-campus and local Japanese job fairs, the Junior Love Scholarship, and the Japanese ISFnet Corporate Scholarship, enabling 100% of those wishing to work in Japan to successfully advance locally.
