On the 23rd, when the government announced that it would extend the fuel tax reduction measure for two more months until the end of the year but partially restore the reduction rate, citizens in Songpa-gu, Seoul, were refueling at gas stations cheaper than the surrounding market prices. From next month, the fuel tax reduction rate for gasoline will be reduced from the original 20% to 15%, and for diesel from 30% to 23%, respectively.
