Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) will hold a temple music concert at Bongeunsa Temple on the 9th from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
This event, planned to offer a special rest to residents living busy daily lives, will provide a unique healing experience on a deepening autumn night with various musical performances harmonizing in the serene atmosphere of Bongeunsa Temple.
The pre-show will begin with a media daebuk (traditional Korean drum) performance to excite the audience. The main performances will include Exit's a cappella, singers Yang Soo-kyung, Kim Seung-jin, Jeok-woo's stage, Choi Jae-gu's Korean traditional music, Kang Hye-yeon's trot, and Woongsan Band's jazz performance. The temple music concert is free for everyone to watch and will be broadcast live on the Gangnam-gu Office and Bongeunsa Temple YouTube channels.
District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong said, "In celebration of October, the month of culture, I hope everyone takes a moment to escape daily life and enjoy the beautiful melodies at the temple music concert in the city." He added, "We will continue to prepare various cultural events that preserve Gangnam-gu's traditions and culture to provide healing opportunities for residents."
