A security guard in his 70s died after being crushed by a metal school gate at a high school in Seowon-gu, Cheongju, Chungbuk.
On the 24th, Yonhap News reported that a security guard, Mr. A (in his 70s), was crushed by a metal gate at a high school located in Cheongju. Severely injured in the accident, Mr. A was rescued from under the gate with the help of a passerby nearby and was transported to a hospital, but he ultimately passed away.
It is known that Mr. A suffered the accident while opening the school gate. The hinge was partially deteriorated, which is presumed to have caused the entire metal gate to fall.
