Ulsan City to Officially Launch 'Ulsan Nojaemchaki Project' This Year

"1st Jaemjaem Balguldan" Competition Rate 15:1, Final 10 Teams Selected

Visits to Ulsan from June to October, Promoting at Least One Hidden Attraction

Ulsan City has completed the selection of the first class of the 'Jaemjaem Discovery Team,' an initiative designed to make Ulsan a more exciting city, and is now officially launching its quest to uncover Ulsan's hidden charms.

The recruitment for the first Jaemjaem Discovery Team attracted around 150 teams from across the country, including Busan, Daegu, Gangwon, Jeolla, Chungcheong, and Jeju, resulting in a high competition rate of 15:1. Notably, more than 80 teams applied from Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon.

Ulsan City evaluated applicants based on their motivation for joining the Jaemjaem Discovery Team, the creativity of their individual mission plans, and the specificity of their social media promotion strategies, ultimately selecting 10 final teams. The selected teams will begin their activities after completing preliminary training.

Between June and October, each team must visit Ulsan during their preferred period and post at least one daily update on social media about their authentic and enjoyable experiences in Ulsan.

Additionally, they are tasked with discovering at least one hidden or popular hotspot in Ulsan, excluding major tourist attractions such as Ulsan Grand Park, Taehwagang National Garden, Ganjeolgot, and Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Village. They will promote Ulsan using various trending social media formats such as Reels and Shorts.

A city official stated, "We were surprised that many applicants for the Ulsan 'No-Jaem' Discovery Project had never visited Ulsan before," and added, "Since you have been selected as the first Jaemjaem Discovery Team after fierce competition, we hope you will fully enjoy Ulsan and introduce every corner of the city so that many more people will come to experience 'Exciting City Ulsan.'"
