Girl group 'NewJeans' song 'Super Shy' has reached 100 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform.
According to Spotify on the 4th, 'Super Shy,' one of the triple title tracks from NewJeans' second mini album 'Get Up,' recorded 100,372,182 streams as of the 2nd (local time).
This achievement came just 26 days after the song's release. It is the shortest period among NewJeans' songs to reach 100 million streams on Spotify. Previously, NewJeans' song 'Ditto' took 32 days to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.
'Super Shy' is an energetic track with an impressive Jersey club rhythm beat that swept various charts immediately after its release. It topped the Melon and Genie July monthly charts, ranked 48th on the US Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, 9th and 12th on Spotify's Global and US Weekly Top Songs respectively, and 52nd on the UK Official Singles Chart, continuously breaking NewJeans' various records.
Currently, NewJeans' total cumulative streams on Spotify have surpassed 2 billion. Among these, seven songs have exceeded 100 million streams: 'OMG' and 'Ditto' (over 400 million streams each), 'Hype Boy' (over 300 million streams), 'Attention' (over 200 million streams), and 'Cookie,' 'Hurt,' and 'Super Shy' (over 100 million streams each).
NewJeans' agency, ADOR, stated, "Especially, NewJeans has been shortening the time to reach 100 million streams on Spotify with each album release, demonstrating their rapidly growing global popularity."
