Samsung Electronics Launches New 14-Person Bespoke Dishwasher Model

[Asia Economy Reporter Sunmi Park] Samsung Electronics launched a new 14-place setting 'Bespoke Dishwasher' with increased capacity and enhanced intelligence through artificial intelligence (AI) in the domestic market on the 18th.

The new product is designed to wash a large amount of tableware at once. While maintaining the same exterior size as the existing model, the capacity has increased from 12 to 14 place settings, allowing for 16 more pieces of tableware to be stored. It features the 'Max Flex 3-Tier Basket,' which allows the upper and middle baskets to move freely up and down, enabling efficient loading according to various types and sizes of tableware.

Samsung's unique AI functions have also been newly added. These include ▲'AI Customized Wash,' which automatically detects the degree of tableware contamination and adjusts water usage, temperature, and spray intensity ▲'AI Customized Recommendation,' which learns frequently used washing patterns and provides recommendations ▲'Interactive Notification Window,' which displays various information in sentences on the front panel, maximizing user convenience.

With SmartThings Cooking, users can receive recommended washing courses based on the type of food, and by setting the AI saving mode of SmartThings Energy, it is possible to reduce energy consumption by 20% monthly. It is also the first in Korea to receive AI+ certification from the Korea Standards Association. The AI+ certification is awarded by the Korea Standards Association to verify the quality of products applying AI technology based on international standards from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

The washing and drying functions have also been upgraded. The two wings at the bottom inside rotate in opposite directions, and the 720° moving washing wings spray water at an angle optimized for Korean tableware, implementing a '4-stage three-dimensional water jet' that thoroughly cleans even blind spots.

The '100°C Hot Air Drying+' function, which absorbs humid air inside, heats it, and dries with high-temperature hot air, has been subdivided into three stages. ▲Standard hot air drying ▲Strong hot air drying ▲Max hot air drying allow users to select the course according to the desired drying level and time, drying without water spots.

The new Bespoke Dishwasher is released in 'Kitchen Fit Built-in' and 'True Built-in' lines to perfectly harmonize with kitchen interiors. The retail price ranges from 1.29 million to 1.79 million KRW depending on the product type and color. Lee Junhwa, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Home Appliance Business Division, said, “This new Bespoke Dishwasher was developed to enable convenient washing by combining powerful washing performance with AI functions, considering the characteristics of Korean dining culture despite its large capacity. We plan to continuously introduce products that enhance user convenience and present a new kitchen experience.”
