New Paradigm Investment Opens Applications for 'Baby Unicorn Hope Startups'

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] New Paradigm Investment announced the '2023 Baby Unicorn Nurturing Program,' a plan to achieve 15 promising startup baby unicorns. The company is seeking new candidate startups to discover promising early-stage startups from the seedling stage and rapidly grow them into baby unicorns.

New Paradigm Investment, an accelerator specializing in 4th industrial revolution fields and healthcare investments, revealed the '2nd New Paradigm Baby Unicorn Nurturing Program' and announced on the 29th that it will begin full-scale recruitment targeting startups nationwide until the end of November.

The New Paradigm Baby Unicorn Nurturing Program is New Paradigm Investment's flagship accelerating program that selects 15 promising startups with innovative deep-tech-based business models and nurtures them into baby unicorn companies through focused support and rapid investment.

New Paradigm will recruit startups possessing core technologies and ideas in 4th industrial revolution fields such as ICT (AI, SaaS, digital transformation, etc.), pets, digital healthcare, commerce (specialized markets), and metaverse from the 1st of next month until November 30th.

The selection criteria prioritize startups with early growth indicators and a company valuation within 5 billion KRW that can verify product-market fit (PMF) in fields focused on the 4th industrial revolution and healthcare.

New Paradigm provides practical support enabling invested companies to focus more on their business through ▲initial investment (200 million to 500 million KRW) ▲follow-up investment (500 million KRW) ▲continuous support for linked investments (over 2 billion KRW) ▲recommendation to the TIPS program for technology advancement (500 million to 700 million KRW) ▲real experience sharing and networking with senior companies ▲business cooperation and collaboration among family investment companies ▲business advancement mentoring.

The 15 companies selected in the first recruitment of the Baby Unicorn Nurturing Program earlier this year have been on a growth track, receiving focused support from New Paradigm, securing investments, being selected for the TIPS program, and successfully attracting follow-up investments. New Paradigm has been recognized for its efficient nurturing program, rapidly growing companies such as Blue M Tech, Vinsen, Artifriends, and Spidercraft to baby unicorn level within three years of investment.

The 2023 New Paradigm Investment Baby Unicorn Nurturing Program is conducted on a rolling recruitment basis. Startups aspiring to become baby unicorns can submit their business plans and IR materials via email during the recruitment period and receive a review response within one week.
