SK Shieldus has presented its goal to leap forward as a global life care platform company based on its domestic No.1 competitiveness in the cybersecurity field. SK Shieldus (CEO Park Jin-hyo) held an online press conference related to its initial public offering (IPO) on the 26th, announcing its vision and business plans after listing.

SK Shieldus was launched through the merger of SK Infosec, the No.1 cybersecurity company in Korea, and ADT Caps, a leading physical security company with over 50 years of history. Its core cybersecurity business achieved an average annual growth rate of 16.4% from 2019 to 2021, while its cash cow physical security business has also maintained stable growth. During the same period, the convergence security business and safety & care business showed explosive average annual growth rates of 90.1% and 68.2%, respectively. SK Shieldus aims to increase the sales ratio of its cybersecurity, convergence security, and safety & care businesses, which accounted for 41% last year, to over 60% by 2025.

SK Shieldus explained that technology is the most critical capability. It possesses technology that collects and processes 8 trillion information data annually and has applied and commercialized an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) First' policy across all business areas. Additionally, 67% of its workforce are technical experts, including about 180 consultants?the largest scale in Korea?over 100 white-hat hackers, approximately 1,500 cybersecurity experts, and around 600 technology and R&D specialists.

The company is also actively expanding overseas. It has established local corporations or branches in the U.S., China, and Hungary to expand its business abroad, while leveraging local partnerships to operate in the Vietnam and Japan markets. SK Shieldus aims to become a global life care platform business by expanding its convergence security business using SK Group’s established business references and local networking, and by strengthening new overseas businesses through strategic mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Park Jin-hyo, CEO of SK Shieldus, said, "SK Shieldus was the first in the industry to present the future business model of the security industry and is leading by establishing a new definition of security that does not exist anywhere else in the world, not only in Korea." He added, "We hope to confirm the growth potential, profitability, and stability as the world’s only life care platform company and to embark on a journey to lead innovation in Korea’s security industry together."

The desired public offering price range per share for SK Shieldus is between 31,000 KRW and 38,800 KRW. Demand forecasting for domestic institutional investors will be conducted over two days on the 3rd and 4th of next month to finalize the public offering price, followed by subscription for general investors on the 9th and 10th. The scheduled listing date is the 19th of the same month.
