The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage announced on the 3rd that it has published the Korean and English editions of the "2020 Korean Archaeology Journal," which contains the investigation results of twenty-nine sites that attracted attention from academia and the media last year. It includes excavation details and outcomes of representative sites from different periods, ranging from the Paleolithic Suncheon Wolpyeong site to the Joseon Dynasty Chungju Eupseong. The journal also features a special section on paleoenvironmental restoration research using artifacts excavated from the Gyeongju Wolseong moat and the Cultural Heritage Analysis Information Center established last year. With QR codes, readers can access related videos and other content online. The publication will be distributed to national and public libraries as well as overseas research institutions. It is also available on the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage’s website.
