[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Ediya Coffee announced on the 15th that it is expanding its distribution channels by introducing various coffee products that incorporate Ediya Coffee's research and development (R&D) expertise, including cup coffee, capsule coffee, coffee mix, and stick coffee.

The representative products are the three types of 'Ediya Cup Coffee,' launched for the first time in 20 years since the company's founding. The three cup coffee varieties?'Toffee Nut Signature Latte,' 'Dolce Cold Brew,' and 'Cafe Latte'?which are popular menu items at franchise stores, have received great response, achieving cumulative sales of 1 million units within 50 days of launch. The coffee beans are made using a patented roasting technique, combined with an optimal recipe developed over 20 years of know-how to deliver a coffee shop-level taste.

For capsule coffee, patented aroma sealing and a dual capsule structure are used to preserve flavor and aroma, replicating the taste of freshly brewed espresso from stores. The two types of coffee mix have generated approximately 3.3 billion KRW in sales within eight months of release through large supermarkets and online malls. In April this year, the company also began its first export to the United States.

The stick coffee 'Beanist,' the first of its kind introduced by a domestic coffee specialty store, has been popular for 10 years. Especially this year, as the 'home cafe' trend of enjoying coffee at home has spread due to COVID-19, it has gained even more popularity among consumers.

Meanwhile, Ediya Coffee is offering its products through various distribution channels so that everyone nationwide can conveniently enjoy Ediya's coffee flavor anywhere. Currently, products are distributed through convenience stores as well as large supermarkets such as E-Mart, Lotte Mart, Homeplus, and online shopping malls like Coupang. Starting with CU convenience stores, the cup coffee line is continuously expanding its distribution channels by entering Ministop, 7-Eleven, and others.
