Marking its 91st anniversary, Daesun Brewery has made a bold move in the domestic liquor market by unveiling a new soju brand along with a new model.


Daesun Brewery (CEO Jo Woo-hyun) announced on the 24th that it will launch a new diluted soju brand, ‘Diamond,’ on the 26th.


The name of the new product, ‘Diamond,’ is derived from the gemstone diamond, which emits the most brilliant light on Earth.


Like the diamond symbolizing light and luck, it is said to carry the meaning of brightening the surroundings by enjoying Diamond soju in any setting.


With the title of ‘Flawlessly Clear Soju’ prominently displayed, Diamond has an alcohol content of 16.9%, expressing a clean, refreshing, and transparent taste in line with the trend favoring smooth flavors.


It contains erythritol, a sweetener with almost no calories derived from sugar alcohols found in fruits and fermented foods, enhancing the refreshing sensation.


Additionally, tomatine, a sweetener extracted from Katemfe fruit, is added at more than 3.3 times the amount used in existing products, enriching the flavor of the soju.


Daesun Brewery stated, “Above all, we used activated charcoal, which is excellent for odor removal and purification, and employed a multi-water treatment process to use clean purified water, achieving a smooth throat feel.”


Daesun Brewery chose a transparent bottle with an elegant design and comfortable grip, creating a product design that resembles an actual diamond in soju form. This reflects their confidence in delivering only clear and pure products.


The upper center of the product features an embossed ‘Daesun,’ highlighting the brand’s heritage dating back to 1930.


The product label includes a diamond mark and the product name ‘Diamond (DIAMOND)’ in a neat and tidy font that catches the eye at a glance. It offers the enjoyment of both Korean and English labels.


The release price of Diamond is set at 1,019 won, which is lower than the release prices of other soju products ranging from 1,071 to 1,081 won. This reflects the intention to provide customers with good products at affordable prices.


Through the launch of Diamond, Daesun Brewery plans to solidify its position as a leading liquor company in the regional soju market and emerge as a key player in the liquor market.
