[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Boryung Consumer Healthcare has newly launched a health solution brand called 'BRing.' The brand name is a compound of Boryung's first English letters (BㆍR) and the suffix indicating the present continuous tense (ing), embodying the company's vision to continue challenges aimed at improving quality of life beyond disease treatment. It is the first work of CEO Kim Soo-kyung, who was appointed last year. The company stated that it aims for eco-friendly organic ingredients and plans to sequentially introduce products based on Boryung's 60 years of know-how.

The first products released are two types of probiotics, which are health functional foods. BRing Postbiotics is a product developed in collaboration with Seoul National University's Microbiome Research Center, containing three components: prebiotics (food for probiotics), probiotics (lactic acid bacteria), and postbiotics (metabolites of lactic acid bacteria), making it a complex probiotic product.

It contains KBL375 (Lactobacillus fermentum), developed by Professor Ko Kwang-pyo of Seoul National University, who is regarded as the top authority in the domestic microbiome field. The company stated that it has effects such as immune regulation, improvement of enteritis symptoms, strengthening of the intestinal barrier, and improvement of atopic dermatitis. Another probiotic product, BRing Microbiome, helps the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut and serves as a nutrient source for probiotics, thereby improving the intestinal environment. It contains 17 types including KBL375 and 5 billion lactic acid bacteria. It also contains vitamin D and zinc, which help immune function.

The protein product line, BRing Plant-based Protein, is 100% plant-based protein and has received safe vegan certification. It is composed of three concepts tailored to intake purposes: Beauty, Energy, and Vital, and is convenient to consume in snack form. The Beauty product contains 1000 mg of collagen extracted from carrots and vitamin C, the Energy product contains 1000 mg of taurine and vitamin D in large amounts, and the Vital product contains blueberries and multivitamins to help enhance human vitality. The company stated that it plans to expand into various product lines including health functional foods, daily necessities, and cosmetics by 2022.
